Freudenberg 1039.1 is a laminate consisting of hydrophilic foam and super absorbent nonwoven. The absorption (g/g) of this material is 16, while retention (g/g) is 15. It was designed for use in wound dressings, where high fluid retention is necessary.
Freudenberg 1039.1 can be sterilised by EtO and Gamma radiation. It is available in non-standard slit rolls, sheets and custom die-cuts.
